Part arrived within the shipping windows, early I might add which was nice. I was a bit concerned as this is "supposed" to be a new, unopened part, but it had been put in a plastic bag and did have a smudge on the face and slightly discolored (Patina from age I'm surmising as my chip that it was replacing was bright, probably because it was sandwiched and wasn't in contact with air.) The smudge came right off and the face was free from any defected that I could see under a magnifier, so I proceeded. The replacement was easy and quick and the picture came right up without requiring any adjustment, so I'm happy with the product. I just hope it was a newer release of the chip with the mirror axle lubrication issue addressed. The thermal paste on the back of the chip heat-sink was not damaged during disassembly so I just added a small dab of arctic silver to reseal and aid with dispersion. While I had the entire unit cracked open, did a proper cleaning including mirror, lens and 25v 2200Uf cap replacements on the PS and mine were all bulging and had leaked on top. I don't know how it kept with in that condition, but I replaced them anyway since it was all broke down. The refurb worked very well and my unit performs like new. Thanks for the fast shipping.
